100 sheets/200 pages. 118 weight white paper for the pages, acid free.
Each personalized diary is hand-crafted from start to finish using acid free materials.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS $52 MODEL AND THE $35 HITCHHIKER'S CUSTOM JOURNAL?
1. The amount of pages. The $35 Hitchhiker's Custom Blank Journal has 70 sheets/140 pages and are 5/8 inches thick. The Transient Standard has 100 sheets/200 pages and are 3/4 inches thick.
2. The binding style used: FLAT BACK BINDING. CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW WE DO IT. The Transient Standard Custom Journal uses the Flat Back Binding: The book block (blank pages) is made up of folios that are hand-sewn onto linen tapes and then attached to the hard-back covers. (See photo detail above.) This hard-back binding style is very resistant and opens flat for comfortable use.
On the other hand, the $35 Hitchhiker's Custom Blank Journal uses a simpler binding technique that does not lay as flat when opened.
If you are a binding enthusiast, and want a thicker book that has been hand sewn, you should go with the $52 Transient Standard.
