The
Reinforced Perfect Binding is a perfect solution for easily formatting, printing and binding
books of poetry, e-mails, publicity material, photographs, recipes,
and so on. The Reinforced Perfect Binding looks exactly like
the Flat Back Binding but the binding process underneath (not seen) is different. We
do not need to do special formatting into folded sections. In
the Reinforced Perfect Binding, the book block is made up of
stack of loose sheets (not folded sections), and bound using
reinforced glue and string. It is a durable binding, but the
craftsmanship is less involved and the pages do not lie as flat
when opened as the Flat Back Binding.

This hard-back binding style works best for books up to about
80 sheets/160 pages. (For thicker books, see Hardback Folio Bindings.)
Title and/or images can be either be inlaid or printed directly onto the cover paper.
You choose the color of the Cover
Paper and the Spine
Canvas.
Ribbon Page Markers optional.
Page Paper: We have a variety of papers available for
the pages. Our standard is white, 118 gram, no texture. However,
feel free to consult other weights and textures.
FORMATTING & PRINTING THE CONTENT:
The book block (the pages of the book) is made up of a stack
of loose sheets.
Each loose sheet is two pages of the book, printed front and
back.
--If you are not familiar with desktop publishing, but you are
interested in this binding style, we can format and print your
content for you. Price depends on the complexity of the job.
E-mail us to consult prices and options.
--If you are familiar with page layout, just send us the content
as an attachment in an e-mail, ready to print. Add an extra
eighth of an inch to the inside margins for the binding. We
prefer documents in Word or as PDFs. However, do consult about
other formats. We can usually accommodate. Please include blank
pages, page numbers, headers, footers and any other elements
you'd like your book to have.
DECKLED EDGES are also an option (The outside edge of the
book block is hand-torn)
